This page turned out very... wet. 

Oh god, right in the feels...  

As a rabid Dib fan(atic) I always hate having this conflict   On the one hand I can’t stand seeing him cry, but on the other he’s just a million kinds of adorable when he does  Seriously, how can you not wanna hug dat an make all bedduh?   For some reason that tiny panel where he does that little "Sniff?" kills me the most   _{(and I'm the one who drew it)}

BUT...!  That aside, now the actual reason I wanted to have Dib cry in a somewhat OOC manner here is revealed (seriously, it was NOT just a fangirl thing, but if I‘d said that before I would have given too much away).  Because I truly do love the original source material and wanted to stick close to the basic structure that the book/movie sets up, I wanted to parody it in such a way that Dib’s not just stuck in Wonderland, but he’s stuck being Alice, like it's a role he's playing.  This means following the story no matter how odd his thoughts and actions might seem, even to himself.  And he does question it whenever he finds himself acting strange, even fights against it as you can see, but he is nonetheless ultimately doomed to act out the story.

This is because, the more I thought about it, the more I wanted to show that Wonderland is a total mind-fuck of a place that effects you physically and mentally.  Not only is Dib feeling the effects on his body, but his mind as well, and at times throughout the course of the story he'll stop and and wonder why he's not quite acting like himself, in much the same way Alice does (in the book she questions who she is in this very scene, in fact: "Dear, dear! How queer everything is to-day! And yesterday things went on just as usual. I wonder if I've been changed in the night? Let me think: was I the same when I got up this morning? I almost think I can remember feeling a little different. But if I'm not the same, the next question is, Who in the world am I?")   It’s a bit of a divergence from the comedic tone this comic has established so far, but I decided to go a bit darker and show a little of Wonderland’s insanity creeping into Dib’s brain  _{(and the fact that this 'insanity' conveniently results in me getting to draw Dib crying all adorable-like is just a lovely coincidence XD)}  And I honestly thought it would be pretty funny to see him acting all bewildered when he has these occasional OOC moments

But all that said, I still don't' think it would be terribly OOC for this poor, mistreated 12-year-old kid to shed a tear once in awhile, so maybe I just lied about that whole thing and Dib's just desperately trying to rationalize here ^____^   _{Nah XD}

So now that you know my true BRILLIANT master plan... we good?  

Notice how Dib just swallows the entire bottle XD  To be fair, that teeny-tiny cork would be really hard to get out
